A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bostonglobe.com\/2024\/06\/25\/metro\/child-hit-worcester\/\">menina de um ano<\/a> foi atropelado por um ve\u00edculo e levado ao hospital com ferimentos na cabe\u00e7a em 24 de junho. Outra menina de 13 anos que tamb\u00e9m estava atravessando uma rua <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boston.com\/news\/local-news\/2024\/07\/29\/pedestrian-suffers-serious-injuries-after-being-struck-by-car-in-worcester\/\">sofreu ferimentos graves<\/a> depois de ser atingido por um Buick em 29 de junho.<\/p>\n<p>O administrador municipal Eric Batista e o prefeito Joseph Petty disseram em um comunicado que a declara\u00e7\u00e3o chamar\u00e1 a aten\u00e7\u00e3o para o problema \u201cs\u00e9rio e crescente\u201d da viol\u00eancia no tr\u00e2nsito.<\/p>\n<p>Mais de 2.800 acidentes de ve\u00edculos motorizados ocorreram em Worcester somente em 2024, disse a declara\u00e7\u00e3o, e 90 desses acidentes envolveram pedestres e ciclistas.
