Kayla Bartkowski para o Boston Globe<em> <\/em>\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/header>\n<p>Ap\u00f3s um m\u00eas inteiro de constru\u00e7\u00e3o, o T\u00fanel Sumner est\u00e1 de volta \u00e0s atividades. <\/p>\n<p>O Departamento de Transporte de Massachusetts reabriu o principal t\u00fanel subaqu\u00e1tico \u00e0s 5 da manh\u00e3 de segunda-feira. O t\u00fanel estava completamente fechado para constru\u00e7\u00e3o desde 5 de julho.<\/p>\n<p>A paralisa\u00e7\u00e3o faz parte de um projeto de restaura\u00e7\u00e3o muito mais longo, totalizando US$ 160 milh\u00f5es, que come\u00e7ou com uma paralisa\u00e7\u00e3o semelhante em abril de 2022. No geral, o projeto est\u00e1 focado em reparar \u201ca estrada do t\u00fanel, paredes, drenagem e melhorias adicionais que aumentar\u00e3o a seguran\u00e7a e a resili\u00eancia clim\u00e1tica\u201d, disse o MassDOT em um <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mass.gov\/news\/sumner-tunnel-re-opened-today-before-morning-commute\">declara\u00e7\u00e3o<\/a> lan\u00e7ado hoje.<\/p>\n<p>Durante o fechamento mais recente, \u201co asfalto existente foi removido do comprimento da rodovia e o concreto abaixo foi reabilitado\u201d, disse o MassDOT. Al\u00e9m disso, os sistemas de meio-fio e drenagem receberam alguns reparos, novas medidas de seguran\u00e7a contra inc\u00eandio foram instaladas e toda a rodovia foi repavimentada.<\/p>\n<p>As boas not\u00edcias? O MassDOT disse que o projeto inteiro ser\u00e1 conclu\u00eddo no final de novembro \u201cno m\u00e1ximo\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>As m\u00e1s not\u00edcias? H\u00e1 uma <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mass.gov\/info-details\/sumner-tunnel-restoration-project-details-and-closure-schedule#schedule-of-closures-\">mais alguns desligamentos<\/a> planejado antes disso. O t\u00fanel ser\u00e1 fechado nos fins de semana de 9 de agosto, 16 de agosto e 23 de agosto, entre sextas-feiras \u00e0s 23h e reaberto ao tr\u00e1fego nas segundas-feiras \u00e0s 5h.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-sumner-tunnel-shutdown-by-the-numbers\">O encerramento do t\u00fanel Sumner, em n\u00fameros<\/h2>\n<p>O MassDOT compartilhou alguns fatos sobre o fechamento recente de Sumner que mostram o escopo do fechamento de 31 dias.
