Os policiais que responderam encontraram os corpos de Joe Cornelius Sr. e sua filha Keisha Miles, 31, na resid\u00eancia. O garoto de 11 anos estava no local no momento, ele disse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cO menor nos deu uma hist\u00f3ria a princ\u00edpio que simplesmente n\u00e3o fazia sentido\u201d, disse McIver na ter\u00e7a-feira em uma entrevista coletiva. Ele disse que, eventualmente, a crian\u00e7a confessou os assassinatos enquanto era interrogada com um parente adulto presente. Mas ele disse que a pol\u00edcia ainda est\u00e1 incerta sobre seus motivos. E naquela idade\u201d, disse McIver.<\/p>\n<p>McIver se recusou a identificar o menino pelo nome ou detalhar seu relacionamento com as v\u00edtimas, citando a lei da Louisiana referente a suspeitos juvenis.<\/p>\n<p>A crian\u00e7a estava detida na ter\u00e7a-feira sob fian\u00e7a de US$ 500.000 por duas acusa\u00e7\u00f5es de homic\u00eddio de primeiro grau.<\/p>\n<p>A lei da Louisiana permite que menores sejam julgados como adultos por homic\u00eddio de primeiro grau e outros crimes violentos especificados, mas n\u00e3o se tiverem menos de 14 anos. A promotora distrital Schuyler Marvin disse \u00e0 KTBS-TV que a condena\u00e7\u00e3o pelas acusa\u00e7\u00f5es atuais pode resultar na deten\u00e7\u00e3o da crian\u00e7a em uma institui\u00e7\u00e3o juvenil at\u00e9 os 21 anos.<\/p>\n<p>Os investigadores encontraram duas armas escondidas de um calibre que combinava com os inv\u00f3lucros de balas encontrados perto dos corpos, disse McIver.
