Eleitoral de Boston \u201cque antecederam e inclu\u00edram as Elei\u00e7\u00f5es Estaduais\u201d, escreveu Galvin numa carta \u00e0 Comiss\u00e1ria Eleitoral de Boston, Eneida Tavares.<\/p>\n<p>O escrit\u00f3rio de Galvin concluiu que <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boston.com\/news\/local-news\/2024\/11\/04\/live-updates-2024-election\/#more-ballots\">v\u00e1rios locais de vota\u00e7\u00e3o em Boston<\/a> n\u00e3o dispunha de n\u00famero adequado de c\u00e9dulas, apesar de a secretaria ter impresso e entregue 766,2 mil c\u00e9dulas \u00e0 cidade, segundo a carta.<\/p>\n<p>Galvin disse que os eleitores e autoridades eleitorais n\u00e3o conseguiram entrar em contato com a Comiss\u00e3o Eleitoral de Boston para relatar os problemas.<\/p>\n<p>Para resolver a escassez, a cidade mobilizou o Departamento de Pol\u00edcia de Boston para entregar as c\u00e9dulas \u201co mais r\u00e1pido poss\u00edvel\u201d nos locais de vota\u00e7\u00e3o, disse o Departamento Eleitoral.<\/p>\n<p>Delegacias em <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boston.com\/tag\/hyde-park\/\">Parque Hyde<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boston.com\/tag\/roslindale\">Roslindale<\/a>e <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boston.com\/tag\/west-roxbury\">West Roxbury<\/a> estavam entre os afetados.<\/p>\n<p>Apesar das longas filas, em parte devido ao atraso nas vota\u00e7\u00f5es, as urnas n\u00e3o foram prorrogadas.<\/p>\n<p>O departamento disse que a cidade recebeu orienta\u00e7\u00e3o de que, como todos os eleitores na fila at\u00e9 as 20h poderiam votar, estender o hor\u00e1rio de vota\u00e7\u00e3o para permitir vota\u00e7\u00f5es provis\u00f3rias ap\u00f3s esse hor\u00e1rio \u201cn\u00e3o melhoraria o acesso \u00e0s urnas\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs entregas de votos foram recebidas nos locais de vota\u00e7\u00e3o para que todos na fila at\u00e9 \u00e0s 20h pudessem exercer o seu direito de voto\u201d, disse o Departamento Eleitoral.<\/p>\n<p>Tavares classificou o \u201catraso indevido\u201d nas urnas de \u201ccompletamente inaceit\u00e1vel\u201d, j\u00e1 que \u201cbarreiras no processo de vota\u00e7\u00e3o podem levar \u00e0 priva\u00e7\u00e3o de direitos\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA cidade leva muito a s\u00e9rio a nossa responsabilidade de administrar eficazmente elei\u00e7\u00f5es livres e justas como a pedra angular da participa\u00e7\u00e3o democr\u00e1tica\u201d, afirmou Tavares num comunicado. \u201cA cidade iniciou uma auditoria completa sobre os atrasos causados \u200b\u200bpela falta de votos nos locais de vota\u00e7\u00e3o durante as elei\u00e7\u00f5es de ontem e trabalhar\u00e1 em estreita colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com o gabinete do Secret\u00e1rio de Estado para apoiar a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o do estado, para que as conclus\u00f5es possam proporcionar as melhorias necess\u00e1rias ao nosso sistema de vota\u00e7\u00e3o.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>O escrit\u00f3rio de Galvin n\u00e3o tinha nenhuma atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o sobre a
