O prefeito Sam Squailia acrescentou ao comunicado da pol\u00edcia de Fitchburg, dizendo que o homem estava \u201cfazendo declara\u00e7\u00f5es suicidas por meio de uma arma de fogo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Quando o policial encontrou o sujeito, disse a pol\u00edcia, ele deixou o carro da pol\u00edcia na tentativa de \u201cdesescalar a situa\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMomentos depois, o sujeito apontou uma arma de fogo diretamente para o policial\u201d, disse a pol\u00edcia. \u201cO policial dispensou arma de fogo emitida pelo departamento, atingindo o sujeito.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A pol\u00edcia disse que o policial \u201cimediatamente\u201d come\u00e7ou a prestar assist\u00eancia m\u00e9dica ao homem. O homem ferido estava \u201cest\u00e1vel\u201d no local, disse a pol\u00edcia. Os socorristas o levaram a um hospital local, onde ele est\u00e1 em condi\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e1vel, disse a pol\u00edcia de Fitchburg. <\/p>\n<p>O policial que atirou no homem foi colocado em licen\u00e7a administrativa, disse a pol\u00edcia de Fitchburg.
